Excavating Solutions is excited to announce the World’s first true Excavator Machine Control System. This new system marks the beginning of a fundamental shift in the excavating industry. This system is designed to operate on any brand, size or age of excavator or backhoe. It is ideal for digging perfect footers, basements, septic systems, storm lines, curbs etc. The easy to use system quickly calculates and applies the proper positioning to slopes, grades and steps. This new patent pending bucket has a built- in pilot that allows the operator to safely and quickly dig. Upon approaching grade, the pilot head control instantly steadies the machine and the bucket’s teeth and will not allow the operator to dig anything but the pre-set grade. The pilot, when extended, also acts as a “crumber” to leave the trench perfectly clean, so as to eliminate any handwork. The benefits of this system include, extreme accuracy (avoiding any unnecessary material overages), extreme safety (eliminating the need for anyone to physically enter the trench to check grade or hand-dig) and as a result of the combination of benefits, the system delivers extreme profitability to all contractors.

I am a fiberglass pool manufacturer and want to know if your I dig system can be used to install a pool with multiple angles on the floor?

    • Yes; works very well and takes the guess work out. From past experience there is only two styles of excavations for fiberglass pools. Either one grade or three grades. As long as you have the slope and the distance to input one or all three then the machine will do the rest for you. Or you can also put reference stakes in and just touch your reference input.

      • Bill Khamis says:

That is exactly what we are looking for. How experienced of an operator do you need to be in order to efficiently use the machine control bucket assist?

      • You need to have an operator that has a basic working knowledge of an excavator. He needs to understand dirt placement and safety. The benefit of the IDigBest system is that this operator will now be able to maintain grade and be confident and comfortable to tackle slopes, footings, vertical and horizontal grade, distance is in real time all the time. no more guessing.

I have been watching you products and videos for some time now. The I dig best system is the most ingenious tool I have seen. How many different buckets can I have with the system? Can the system be used on multiple excavators?

    • Each unit is capable of 9 buckets on 10 different machines. All buckets need to have the i dig best system. You can still use a standard bucket and have the system assist you. By flat-bucketing the ground. the Idigbest new software will turn the bucket to a horizontal or angle that you decide. when ever you are holding the button on the joystick down the software will control the angle automatically. assisting you with grade

I do a lot of retaing walls. I use a Bobcat 330. What would the cost be for a system?

    • The cost for a mini-excavator is approximately $ 7,000.00 . You will need to install the Idigbest system. If you are in need of assistance with the installation we will help for free just need a welder for a few minutes to tack the sensor mounts.we also have a 20/7 help line

Another thought. I install a lot of precast wall units. Some of them are metric. Does this system account for metric increments?

  6. When working out doors on your job’s, you will be able to accurately check surrounding grades and making shore that elevations constantly work out. With the machine you can touch any surface and now instantly know the elevation differences. So for example, when approaching to a drive way or patio, you just spin around, reach out ,and touch the surface and you will then have your grade with no guess work! And adjust on the fly! also you can measure honorarily too. to acquire grade you have a few ways. touch a reference point or pass the bucket though a laser beam

  7. Bill Khamis says:

Can we use the I dig best to dig holes for fiberglass swimming pools can we save different pool shapes in the computer so that we do not need to re input the information the next time we dig the same pool shape?
    Thank you

    • Fiberglass pools are a perfect candidate for this technology. The pool profiles are not saved each time because the job sites will vary. It is much faster to input each pool because even on the most intricate pool profile you are only looking at entering up to 4 points.

    Culvert pipe under road
I install a lot of culverts under roads. If I am understanding correctly, I just need to find grade on top of the road , subtract out my sub-grade and set my slope then start digging. I can do this all by myself. Am I correct?

  9. Bill Khamis says:

What modifications are required to make to our excavator? Who do you recommend makes the modifications? How difficult are they?

    • The pilot kit. Any hydroponic hose maker can set up the hoses you need to go from your auxiliary lines to your bucket lines. The computer system is also easy. We can help Install the total system. We also have a technical help line that can assist you. and videos

The i dig best kit for the Grade bucket looks simple to install per your youtube videos. I feel confident we could install it ourselves. I have two more questions. Is there a minimum size of a machine that you recommend to install the i dig on and what are all the components included with the basic kit?

    Hi
If I use the idigbest system with your dozerblade, is it then so precise on grading, that I could use it for laying out asphalt with a small excavator – small places where an asphalt pacer can not fit ??

  13. Dan Burr says:

We do a lot of roadside ditching in our municipality, do you have a system that could keep a 2:1 backslope, 3:1 frontslope and keep a 2% grade? When we do our ditching our excavator sits in one lane of the road and loads the spoils into a truck sitting in front of him as they move down the road.

    • Yes of course we do. We even do profiles. This is where you can touch an existing ditch points. Then the profile will be saved in the computer. Your machine will replicate the dig and even steer your Bucker to cut perfect slopes. Please feel free to call me at 317-210-0220. My name is Phil

This grade regulator looks like it could really help with excavating the perfect septic tank hole. Because you can retrofit this on different types of excavators, track hoes, and skid steers, it will probably be handy to digging experts. My son loves to watch these large equipment operators in action. I can’t wait to show him this video.
